Sushi Zanmai @ Low Yat Plaza
Hello readers, I know it is quite late to actually have my first post of the year as it is already the 17th today. Oh well, better late than never =P.
This time we gave it a try at Sushi Zanmai, Low Yat Plaza. Let me give you a brief introduction about Low Yat Plaza. It is named the largest IT Lifestyle mall in Malaysia in 2009.
As usual, the interior of the restaurant is the food chain's bamboo concept. It is very beautiful and cozy in the restaurant. However, the tables are too near to one another which I understand they would want to maximise the utilization of space as it is limited. As a customer, I do not feel comfortable as the backside of the waiters and waitresses are too near to where I am having my dinner. It is also a privacy issue as the next table can hear our conversation.
Nevertheless, the food was quite good. The Nabe that we ordered was oyster and it was pretty fresh. Thumbs Up!
As recommended by my cousin sister, Madeline, I fell in love with the Tamago Mentai sushi. I ordered two plates this time and it costs only RM2.80 per plate which was pretty worth it.
The location of the restaurant is as shown above. The entrance of Sushi Zanmai is next to Federal Hotel.
Comments: Love the food but hate the table arrangement that are too near. Privacy issues! =X

103 Coffee Workshop @ Taman Sri Petaling
I have recently ventured into Sri Petaling area and one of my buddies, Siew Ling recommended this new coffee house which has a Japanese twist, which is pretty interesting. Thus, I decided to give it a go. As Ampang is quite far from Sri Petaling, thus, I seldom venture for food over there.
This new coffee house has created a buzz in Sri Petaling since it opened its doors in August this year. 103 Coffee Workshop is located on a street that is better recognized for steamboat restaurants.
The coffee house has made an instant bang, being capable to allure customers from outside Sri Petaling, including me.
This dish is found on almost every table: Ultra-crunchy Kari Kari pasta with house-made seasoning. Priced at RM3.90 (very reasonable for an appetizer at a coffee house)
Teriyaki Chicken Don (RM14.90)
The serving is quite big and the serving of chicken is quite generous. However, the rice was very dry despite being drizzled with Teriyaki sauce. Thus, I requested for extra sauce, which I found out that it costs RM1.50.
With the price of RM10.90, it is quite pricey for a Taruki Udon which has only Tempura flake and seaweed.
Iced Double Chocolate Mocha (RM12.00) and Hazelnut Latte (RM10.00). 103 Coffee Workshop house blend is made up of 40% Brazilian, 40% Colombian and 20% Guatemalan blend supplied by Johor's 'M' Espresso Sporting Club.
The environment of the coffee house is very However, the coffee house and their staff are lack of genuine warmth, which does not give the coziness and homey feeling to the customers.
The total expenditure of our trip was RM55.85. As mentioned before, there was an extra charge of RM1.50 for the Teriyaki sauce, which should not be the case.
