Shi Fu Wanton Mee @ Taman Segar, Cheras

I was being recommended to try this place called Shi Fu Wanton Mee just 5 minutes walk from Cheras Leisure Mall. Thus, i decided to try it out. This coffee shop is located in Taman Segar, Cheras. The coffee shop captured  my attention by its old Chinese themed exterior design. 

The interior of the restaurant is furnished with wooden tables and chairs, red lanterns, wooden signboards with golden Chinese writings and wooden plank walls. This place is really something unique.

Comments : The food here is quite okay, but it is quite pricey for the food served. This is because you can get a better quality food elsewhere without paying the high price. Overall, the service is very good and the uncle serving us, David is very friendly.

SS2 Murni @ SS2, Petaling Jaya

When i first heard of SS2 Murni from my friend, David, i thought it was a food court. According to him, this restaurant offers vast varieties of food. The most interesting part is the restaurant does not have any menus. Thus, i agreed to try it out with my friends few months ago.

SS2 Murni is located at Jalan SS2/75. You can see it by the main road, next to an electrical appliance shop. I was shocked to see the crowd at the restaurant. The concept of SS2 Murni is like a "mamak" stall. I found out that they do have a menu, a very big one. They serve western food, "mamak" food, chinese food ( claypot lo shu fun, fried rice...), roti hawaii, tom yam soup, surprise juices and alot more.

Carbonara 

The carbonara was just okay. But in this environment, the food quality is considered as quite good already. Next, we had the Roti Hawaii. It is made of minced Ramly Beef Burger Patty, pineapples and egg wrapped with roti canai. It is served with the normal curry, Dhal and mayonnaise. This dish is really something different.

Yut Kee Restaurant @ Dang Wangi

When I first heard about this Hainanese western restaurant, it was from my dad. He told me that this restaurant has been around since the pre-world war time. Thus, I decided to ask my dad to bring me there.

It was the age of 15, when i first tried out this restaurant. I thought it would be just another ordinary restaurant they have in town. Recently, i went visiting Yut Kee again. This time i brought my outstation friend to try the restaurant .There was a long queue outside Yut Kee, i was amazed as usual by the people standing in the hot sun waiting for their turn to be served. Yut Kee is a coffee shop with a humble look on the outside which is located at Jalan Dang Wangi. It is the corner lot of the shop, walking distance from CapSquare and Dang Wangi LRT station. 

I went to the counter to the person in charge, Mr Mervyn (saw his name on the business card), he took down my name and the number of person dining in. Despite the long queue outside, the restaurant is very well organized. Everyone knows their job pretty well. When we sat down at the table, the waiters were right there waiting for our orders. I ordered the famous roti babi ( pork bread with direct translation into English), my mum had pork chop, dad had Lum Mee and Tracey (my friend) had Mee Suah Soup which i recommended. Besides, they serve roasted pork on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. It was a Sunday that we visited Yut Kee, I decided to try the roasted pork they had. The serving time was fast as usual despite the crowd in the coffee shop.
