Renoma Cafe Gallery (Relocated to Ikon Connaught)

Every time I used Jalan Bukit Bintang to go to Imbi Market, this Renoma Cafe Gallery always caught my attention. Thus, I decided to give it a try. The atmosphere of the cafe is very artistic due to the painting on the walls and the cafe instantly gives me a grand feeling when i first stepped in.
The artistic paintings on the wall.

冰临城下 Ice Town @ Taman Kota Laksamana, Melaka

Ice Town Entrance
Super Mango

Comments: Pretty awesome shaved ice. One of the must-go place for students after a hot day at school. However, the seating capacity of the cafe is not super huge even with an outdoor seating area, it still remains full house. If you would like to try this out, try come a little earlier before the school ends.

Dai Mon Yokocho Japanese Restaurant

After a year, I have finally decided to re-live my food blog. My first post of the year (even though it is November already..yikes!!) would be a throwback to a Japanese restaurant located just a few kilometers away from my university in Alam Damai, which is called Dai Mon Yokocho which was recommended by my buddy and also a foodie, Ms. Siew Ling.

The restaurant is designed authentically to enhance the customers' dining experience. There is also a small LED board to display the special menu iteams at the counter.

I have found my favorite skewed mushroom on the menu =D

There is also a Japanese seating style with low table to allow customers experience the traditional way of having meals.
Our appetizer: Salmon Sashimi
Next stop: Tomato Udon with Tamago
My order : Tonkotsu Ramen with Tamago
Side order: Grilled Shishamo
Apparently, Dai Mon Yokocho is originated from Hong Kong. The back of the menu shows that there are 5 other branches in different parts of Hong Kong which the headquarter at Tung Choi Street, Mong Kok, Kowloon. The branch in Alam Damai, Cheras is the first Malaysia Branch.

Comments: The Tonkotsu Ramen soup base was quite salty as it was very thick. However, there are a few soup bases to choose from to cater to customers' different tastes and preferences. The salmon sashimi was quite fresh but not as fresh as what we eat at Ton Chan Japanese restaurant. The tamago was pretty well done =). Overall it is quite pricey for a Japanese restaurant at a quite secluded location.
